“Cave of One Thousand Lights”

Stranded in a desolate wasteland lies the final shred of human existence. The machine rotates endlessly hoping for the day humanity returns. The machine is tired and losing power, but still it persists despite the overwhelming odds.


This work in progress solo project is a deep dive into environment modeling, complex hard surface modeling, and rendering. With the use of kitbashing different models together I designed a unified musical sci-fi machine. My primary goal was to combine stone and metal into a cohesive environment.

The end of quarter delivery focused on the interior shots of the cave. In the next iteration the render noise and missing frames will be resolved. Additional fog and emissive glow will be comped after the re-render.
